Force Factor Takes Strides in Global Sustainability

BOSTON. [24] Jan. 2024 - Force Factor, a leader in the health and wellness industry, is proud to announce it has achieved CarbonNeutral® Company certification. This achievement underscores the brand's commitment to improving global health for a better future, and acknowledges the critical role that the environment can have on overall health & wellness.

In an effort to minimize its carbon footprint, Force Factor is working with Climate Impact Partners, a specialist in carbon market solutions for climate action. This partnership includes a rigorous independent assessment of Force Factor's greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the CarbonNeutral Protocol, the leading global framework for carbon neutrality.

Force Factor is dedicated to offsetting its unavoidable emissions through support of a carefully chosen portfolio of carbon projects around the world that protect global forests, air quality, and health conditions:

  • Acre Amazon REDD+ Portfolio, Brazil: Granting land tenure and providing agricultural training to prevent deforestation and promote sustainable livelihoods.
  • Mississippi Valley Reforestation, USA: Reforesting one million hectares of native woodland to restore one of North America’s most important ecosystems.
  • Burn Efficient Cookstoves, Kenya: Enabling families in rural Kenya to cook food using cleaner, more efficient cookstoves, which in turn reduces indoor air pollution and pressure on local forests.
  • Clean Water and Cooking, Guatemala: Providing water filters and improved cookstoves to bring health and environmental benefits to rural families in Guatemala.

“We work with leading organizations, like Force Factor, to deliver action on climate change and create a more sustainable world. Our joined-up approach helps organizations address their environmental impacts through high-quality carbon market solutions that not only benefit nature, but also uplift local communities,” said a spokesperson for Climate Impact Partners.

“The effects of climate change impact our health & wellness in both direct and indirect ways. As a company, we strive to make a real and positive impact in people’s lives, historically and primarily through nutrition. This partnership will allow us to make an impact on a much broader scale,” said CEO of Force Factor, Daniel Wallace. “This is just the beginning of our commitment to becoming a more environmentally sustainable company,” said Wallace.

About CarbonNeutral® Company Certification:

CarbonNeutral® Company certification was created and is managed by Climate Impact Partners. It was the first clear set of guidelines for businesses to achieve carbon neutrality back in 2002, and every year since then Climate Impact Partners has continued its commitment to providing a robust framework for clear, transparent and high-quality carbon neutral action. The CarbonNeutral Protocol is a publicly available document that sets out the  requirements for companies to achieve CarbonNeutral® certification. It is updated annually with input from an Advisory Council of external experts to ensure it reflects the latest industry and scientific best practice.
